She offers a rare combination of delivery leadership, international insight, values-based governance, and stakeholder gravitas.
Barbara has developed and led inclusive teams and delivered complex, high-profile projects and programmes, both in the UK and overseas. As a Fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Association for Project Management, a non-executive on Imperial College London’s Property Committee and named by Cranfield University as a “Woman to Watch” (2022), she brings professional standing, board-level experience and a strong network of influence.

She is passionate about leaving a lasting legacy and inspiring others. Barbara likes to engage, nurture and develop talented individuals and teams, providing a platform for their careers to flourish, so they can achieve their potential and together deliver transformational change. She is a trustee of Mace Foundation and Construction Youth Trust, mentors for different organisations, and is regularly invited to judge awards and speak at events.
Since 2017, she has been seconded from industry to the Royal Household, responsible for leading a highly complex 10-year programme at Buckingham Palace.
